Step 1: Blot and Soak

Start by gently blotting the stain with a piece of white cloth or paper towel until no more of the liquid can be absorbed. Once you’ve done that, gently soak a cloth in slightly warm water and carefully dab the stain until all visible residue is gone. If you still see the stain, repeat this step once more.

Step 2: Use Mild Detergent

After soaking the scarf in warm water, use a gentle detergent like dish soap to help remove the stain. Make sure you’re reading any instructions on the detergent bottle before you use it, since some detergents may contain bleach which could damage the fabric of your scarf. Put a small amount of detergent into the stained area and scrub lightly with a soft brush.

Step 3: Rinse and Dry

Once you’ve done scrubbing, rinse out any excess detergent with cold water. After this, hang scarf up in a well-ventilated space, letting it air dry naturally. Don’t put it in the dryer or use a hairdryer as this could cause the stain to set in even deeper.
