The first thing to do when cleaning a dessert wine stain is to act fast. The quicker you start the process, the better chance you have of removing stain completely. Begin by blotting up as much of the liquid as you can. You should use a clean white cloth or sponge and press gently on the affected area, blotting up the wine until no more liquid can be removed.

Next, mix a solution of one part mild laundry detergent and two parts cold water. Dip a clean, white cloth into the solution and move the cloth in circular motions around the stain. Keep blotting lightly until you’ve treated the entire area. Make sure not to scrub too hard, as this could cause the stain to spread.

Now, pour a few drops of white vinegar onto the stain. Let vinegar sit on the spot for a few minutes before blotting it up completely with another clean, white cloth.

Finally, rinse the area with cold water, using a damp cloth to get rid of any remaining detergent or vinegar residue. When you’ve finished, hang your sari up to air dry.

By following these steps, you’ll be able to effectively remove any dessert wine stains from your sari. Good luck!
