Steps To Remove Dessert Wine Stains
- Start by blotting the stain with a paper towel. Press down gently and use a clean part of the towel every time. Do not rub the stain as this can cause it to spread.
- Rinse the area with cold water to remove any excess residue.
- If the stain is still visible, mix laundry detergent with warm water and apply it to the stain. Rub gently and then rinse with cold water.
- Make a solution of white vinegar and warm water and use it to pretreat the stain for about 10 minutes. Then, rinse with cold water.
- If the stain persists, you can try treating it with 3% hydrogen peroxide. Apply the peroxide to stain and let it sit for up to 15 minutes. Then, rinse with cold water.
- For tough stains, combine one part ammonia with four parts water. Use this solution to pretreat the stain, then put raincoat in the washing machine with laundry detergent.
