If you recently had a messy spill on your muslin from a dessert wine, there are a few quick steps you can take to get it looking good as new.

Step 1: Carefully Blot Up As Much Dessert Wine As Possible

Start by carefully blotting up as much of the spilled dessert wine as possible with a paper towel or cloth. Be sure not to rub, as this can cause the stain to spread and worsen.

Step 2: Pre-Treat With A Mild Detergent

Mix a mild detergent with water and gently pre-treat the stained area of muslin. Let the detergent soak in for a few minutes before moving on to the next step.

Step 3: Rinse and Dry

Rinse off the detergent with cold water, then air dry the muslin.

Step 4: Wash In Hot Water

Fill a sink or bucket with hot water and add a mild laundry detergent. Allow muslin to soak in the warm soapy water for 30-60 minutes before removing it from the water and allowing it to air dry.

Step 5: Repeat If Necessary

If the stain is still visible after the initial cleaning process, repeat steps 2-4 until stain has been removed.
