What You'll Need

  • Warm water
  • Gentle detergent
  • White vinegar
  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • Baking soda
  • Towels

Instructions

  1. Start by blotting up as much of the wine as possible with a towel. Apply firm pressure and don't rub the stain in deeper.
  2. Mix one tsp of gentle detergent with one cup of warm water. Soak a towel in the mixture and use it to dab at the stain. Work from the outside of the stain inwards. Pre-treat any remaining stains.
  3. Create a paste with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Spread it onto the stain, let it sit for 30 minutes, and then rinse off with cold water.
  4. If there is still some residue, mix two tablespoons of white vinegar with one cup of warm water. Dab at the stain with a towel and this mixture. Rinse off with cold water.
  5. Once you are done, check the fabric for any stubborn stains. If any remain, repeat the above steps until they are gone.

Conclusion

Removing those dreaded dessert wine stains from jersey fabrics is not as difficult as it seems. With a few simple supplies and these instructions, you can be sure that your jersey fabrics will be free of any nightmarish wine stains in no time.
