Materials Needed:

  • Laundry Detergent
  • White Vinegar
  • Hydrogen Peroxide (3%)
  • Ammonia
  • Clean And Dry Towels/Cloths

Directions for Cleaning Dessert Wine Stains on Draperies and Curtains:

  1. Blot the stain with a clean towel or cloth and dilute it with cold water.
  2. If the stain persists, mix one tablespoon of laundry detergent with two cups of cold water and gently rub the stained area with the mixture using a sponge.
  3. Rinse with cold water and use another clean cloth or towel to blot the area.
  4. Mix one tablespoon of white vinegar with two cups of warm water and rub the stain with the mixture.
  5. Rinse and blot area with a clean cloth or towel.
  6. Mix one tablespoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide with one teaspoon of ammonia and one cup of warm water. Dip a clean, absorbent white cloth into the solution and scrub the stained area.
  7. Rinse and blot area with a clean cloth or towel.
  8. Repeat steps 5-7 if needed.
