Cotton seersucker fabric is a light and summery fabric with an unmistakable textured look. It’s comfy, breathable and perfect for hot weather days. Unfortunately, it’s also extremely prone to stains, particularly those caused by the sugary and tannin-rich liquid that is dessert wine.

Steps to Remove Dessert Wine Stains From Cotton Seersucker Fabrics

  1. Create a solution of 2/3 warm water and 1/3 white vinegar. Dip a clean cloth into the solution and dab the stained area gently.
  2. Afterward, sprinkle some baking soda onto the spot, which will help further lift stain. Let it sit for a few minutes.
  3. Rinse the affected area with lukewarm water.
  4. Apply detergent directly onto the stained area and let it sit for a couple of minutes.
  5. Finally, rinse the garment one last time and hang it to air dry.

That’s it! With these steps, even dreaded dessert wine stains should be gone from your seersucker fabric in no time.
