Step 1: Blot Up Spillage Immediately

When stain first happened, use a clean, absorbent cloth material to blot up the excess liquid. This helps to avoid the liquid from penetrating further into corduroy's fibers.

Step 2: Mix a Stain Remover Solution

Mix together one teaspoon of a mild dishwashing detergent with a cup of lukewarm water. Dip in a clean, white cloth into the solution and wring out any excess liquid from cloth.

Step 3: Rub Stain Remover On the Fabric

Gently rub the damp cloth onto stained area. Make sure to rub in a circular motion for a few minutes. Wipe away the solution with a damp cloth.

Step 4: Rinse Fabric

Rinse away any remaining detergent residue with a cup of clean, cold water and a clean cloth. Gently blot the fabric dry with a paper towel.

Step 5: Wash the Fabric

Place fabric into the washing machine and select delicate cycle. Add one tablespoon of mild detergent or laundry soap. Let the fabric air-dry when finished.

Conclusion

That's it – the dessert wine stain should be gone! If you still see residual blemishes, repeat Step 3 again. The key is to take action immediately so the stain doesn't seep in too deep.
