Supplies
- Oxygen-based or all-purpose cleaner
- Soft-bristled brush
- Clean rag
- White vinegar
- Dish soap
Instructions
- Spray the stain with the oxygen-based cleaner or all-purpose cleaner. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Use the soft-bristled brush to lightly scrub area. Take care not to scrub too hard, so as to avoid damaging the material of your shoes.
- Wipe away any dirt or debris with the clean rag.
- Mix equal parts white vinegar and dish soap in a bowl and use a cloth to dab the mixture onto stain. Let it sit for five minutes.
- Rinse off the mixture with a damp cloth and let the shoes air dry or buff them with a dry towel.
Tips
- Be sure to test the cleaner on an inconspicuous area of the shoe before using.
- For tough stains, apply a second layer of the white vinegar and dish soap mixture and allow it more time to set.
