Wine stains on clothing are never fun, but when the garment in question is a bikini, those stains can seem like a hard-to-remove catastrophe. The good news is that dessert wine stains don't have to be permanent if you act quickly and use the right cleaning solution.

The first step to getting rid of a dessert wine stain is to scoop away as much of the liquid as possible. Using a spoon or paper towel, dab gently at the area of the bikini where the wine has spilled. Don't scrub too hard, because this might cause the stain to set in and become harder to remove.
Once you've removed as much of the liquid as possible, the next step is to blot stain with cold water. Again, use a gentle dabbing motion to avoid pushing the wine further into the fabric. Avoid using hot water since this may also set the stain.
Create a solution of one part white vinegar and two parts cold water, and then soak the stained portion of the bikini in the mixture for 10 to 15 minutes. This should help to break up the stain and make it easier to remove.
After soaking the stain in vinegar, apply a pre-treatment laundry detergent directly to the stain. Rub the detergent into the fabric gently, and let it sit for 10 minutes.
Finally, wash the bikini in washing machine according to the fabric's care instructions. Then let the bikini dry completely in the dryer or air dry—whichever is recommended on the care label. Remember to check the stain before drying to ensure it has been completely removed.
Removing dessert wine stains from a bikini doesn't have to be an impossible task. Just use above steps to quickly and effectively get rid of the stain without any hassle.
