Step 1: Dilute the Stain with Water

First, quickly rinse the belt with cold or lukewarm water. Use a sponge or cloth to gently dab the affected area and press down to help remove the stain. Make sure to use cold water as hot water can set the stain.

Step 2: Soak the Belt

Once you have rinsed the belt with water, submerge the stained portion of belt in a bowl of cold water for about 30 minutes to an hour. This helps further dilute the stain and remove any remaining residue.

Step 3: Wash with Mild Detergent

Next, make a solution of mild detergent and lukewarm water and soak the belt for another 30 minutes. Then, rinse the belt with cold water and lay it flat to air dry in a well-ventilated area.
