When it comes to cleaning your Adidas, there are a few tried-and-true methods for removing stains caused by dessert wine. To help you get rid of every last bit of residue, here is a step-by-step guide to getting your shoes as good as new.

Step 1: Pre-Treat

Your first step should be to lightly dab away any excess wine using a dry cloth or paper towel. Make sure not to rub the material too harshly, as this could cause any remaining wine to seep deeper into fabric. Once you’ve removed as much of the excess liquid as possible, grab some gentle detergent specifically designed for delicates.

Step 2: Spot-Clean

Mix the detergent with a solution of warm water and apply it directly to the stain. Gently rub the mixed solution onto the affected area and then rinse with fresh water. Let the shoe air-dry for about an hour before proceeding with the next step.

Step 3: Soak

If the stain has not come out after spot-cleaning, fill a bucket with warm water and add a capful of laundry detergent. Submerge the affected part of the shoe in the sudsy mix and let it soak for 15 minutes. Then, take the shoe out and rinse off the detergent with cold water. Let the shoe air-dry for several hours before wearing.

Step 4: Repeat

If the stain is still present after soaking process, it may be necessary to repeat steps one through four until the desired result is achieved. Be aware that more times a stain is treated, the greater chance of lightening or discoloration of the fabric, so proceed accordingly.

With these simple steps in hand, you should now have no problem removing those stubborn dessert wine stains from your Adidas. In no time at all, your shoes will be as good as new!
