Dessert wine stains can be tricky and stubborn, but if you know a few simple tricks, you can get them out in no time. Here are the steps you need to follow:

Step 1: Blot up as much of the wine as possible

The first thing you should do is get a clean cloth and blot up as much of the wine as possible. Make sure not to rub fabric, as this could spread the stain. Do this until all the visible liquid has been removed.

Step 2: Pre-treat with a stain remover

It's important to do this step before soaking fabric in water, as it will help break down the stain molecules. Apply a pre-treatment solution or spray directly to stained area, following the instructions on the package. If possible, let it sit for 15 minutes before continuing.

Step 3: Soak in a lukewarm water and detergent mixture

Fill a bucket or sink with lukewarm water and add a mild liquid detergent. Gently immerse stained item into the mixture and allow it to soak for at least 30 minutes. If the stain persists, try adding baking soda to the mixture to help lift it out.

Step 4: Rinse and dry

Once the soaking is done, rinse the item in lukewarm water. You may need to repeat the process a few times to completely remove stain. When all the traces of the stain are gone, let the fabric air dry, or use a low heat setting on your clothes dryer.

By following these steps, you can easily remove dessert wine stains from acrylic fabrics. Just remember to act fast and treat the stain before it sets in.
