Supplies You Will Need
- Detergent
- Soft-bristled brush (toothbrush)
- White cloth
- Absorbent cloth
Instructions
- Mix a few drops of detergent with lukewarm water to create a gentle cleaning solution.
- Using the soft-bristled brush, carefully scrub stained area of the fabric. Ensure not to damage the delicate material.
- Lay a white cloth on a flat surface, and place the fabric over top, stain side down.
- Dab absorbent cloth with the cleaning solution and gently rub onto the reverse side of the stain. Be sure to use only a small amount of pressure, as too much may cause the fibers to break.
- Repeat Step 4 until the stain has been completely removed.
- Allow the fabric to air dry before using it.
Tips
- To prevent new stains from forming, keep fabric away from crayons and other products likely to cause staining.
- If the stain is very stubborn, you may need to use a stronger cleaning solution such as ammonia.
