Supplies You Will Need

  • Detergent
  • Soft-bristled brush (toothbrush)
  • White cloth
  • Absorbent cloth

Instructions

  1. Mix a few drops of detergent with lukewarm water to create a gentle cleaning solution.
  2. Using the soft-bristled brush, carefully scrub stained area of the fabric. Ensure not to damage the delicate material.
  3. Lay a white cloth on a flat surface, and place the fabric over top, stain side down.
  4. Dab absorbent cloth with the cleaning solution and gently rub onto the reverse side of the stain. Be sure to use only a small amount of pressure, as too much may cause the fibers to break.
  5. Repeat Step 4 until the stain has been completely removed.
  6. Allow the fabric to air dry before using it.

Tips

  • To prevent new stains from forming, keep fabric away from crayons and other products likely to cause staining.
  • If the stain is very stubborn, you may need to use a stronger cleaning solution such as ammonia.
