Using the back of a butter knife or something similar, carefully scrape off any excess crayon away from the t-shirt. Try to be gentle, and do not press too hard as you might damage fabric. As much of the wax should come off as possible.
Create a mixture of dish soap and water and gently rub it into the stain using a cloth. If the stain hasn’t loosened yet, you can apply a few drops of white vinegar to the area. Allow it to sit for a few minutes before lightly scrubbing fabric with a damp cloth.
Once the stain has been pre-treated, wash the fabric in the machine using cold water. For best results, add a few drops of laundry detergent and wait for the cycle to finish. Do not put the fabric in the dryer as this may set the stain permanently.
If the stain does not seem to have gone completely, repeat the process a few times. Keep in mind that not all stains will come out and you may need to use a spot cleaner for tougher stains.
