When dealing with crayon stains on tracksuits, you want to use a detergent that doesn't contain bleach. Bleach is too strong for fabric of tracksuits and could discolor or damage material. It's best to use an enzyme-based detergent designed specifically for stain removal.
Start by removing any excess wax and paper residue from the stain and brushing away any residual color. Then, wet the stained area with cold water and apply a small amount of the enzyme detergent or a prewash stain remover directly onto the affected area.
Allow detergent to sit for about 10 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water. Be sure to use cold water; hot water will set the stain and make it more difficult to remove.
After rinsing, add a small amount of detergent to a clean white cloth and gently rub the stain in a circular motion. This should help to lift the remaining color pigments.
Rinse the area again with cold water, and repeat as necessary until stain is gone. If the stain still doesn’t come out, you could try putting the item in the washing machine using a regular cycle and cold water.
If the stain persists after the washing machine, it is best to take tracksuit to a professional cleaner who can use a special technique to remove it.
