Things You'll Need

  • Laundry detergent
  • White vinegar
  • Soft cloths or paper towels
  • Water

Step 1: Wet Stain

Before starting any cleaning procedure, make sure you wet the stain with water. This will help release the stain from the fabric and make it easier to remove.

Step 2: Create Cleaning Solution

Mix a few drops of laundry detergent in a small bowl of warm water. Make sure the detergent is completely dissolved before proceeding.

Step 3: Gently Blot the Stain

Using a soft cloth or paper towel, gently blot the stain with the cleaning solution. Do not rub or scrub stain, as this will cause the crayon to set in more.

Step 4: Rinse with Vinegar

Rinse the stained area with a mixture of half white vinegar and half warm water. Once again, blot area with a soft cloth or paper towel and let it air dry.

Step 5: Repeat if Necessary

If some of stain remains, repeat Steps 2-4 until the stain is completely gone.
