Fill a bowl with enough white vinegar to cover stained area of the taffeta fabric. Submerge the stain in the vinegar and let it soak for at least 10 minutes. This will help to loosen crayon from the fibers.
Once the stain has soaked, use a sponge or toothbrush to scrub the area with a mixture of liquid dish soap and warm water. Work in small circles, moving outward from the center of stain. This will help to remove any remaining bits of crayon.
Once you've finished scrubbing, use a paper towel to blot the area with baking soda. Then, pour some hydrogen peroxide on stain and let it sit for a few minutes. The baking soda and hydrogen peroxide should help to lighten stain.
Once the stain is lightened, rinse the fabric in cold water. Blot the stain with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Repeat this process until stain is completely gone.
Removing crayon stains from taffeta fabric doesn't have to be a difficult task. With a few simple steps and materials, you can easily clean up mess and keep your fabric looking new. Just make sure to take the time to follow the instructions carefully to ensure best results.
