What You'll Need

  • A vacuum
  • A stain remover
  • Liquid detergent
  • White vinegar
  • A spray bottle
  • Warm water
  • A white cloth

Step 1: Vacuum the Stain

Using a vacuum cleaner, gently remove as much of the excess crayon wax as possible. This will reduce the stain so that it’s easier to clean.

Step 2: Apply a Stain Remover

Spray stain with a stain remover and let it sit for about 10 minutes. This should dissolve the crayon wax and break up the stain.

Step 3: Use Liquid Detergent

Mix liquid detergent into warm water and use a white cloth to dab at the stain. Rub gently in circular motions until the stain is lifted.

Step 4: Spray White Vinegar

Fill a spray bottle with white vinegar and spritz onto the stain. This will help to lift out any remaining residue. Let sit for 5 minutes.

Step 5: Rinse With Warm Water

Rinse the area with warm water and a cloth to remove any remaining stain and vinegar residue. Allow to air dry completely before wear.
