If your little one has had a bit too much fun with their crayons near your stocking-clad feet, don’t fret. With the right materials and techniques you can bring your socks and tights back to their original state in no time. Here’s how:
- Gently scrape off any excess wax with a dull butter knife. Take care not to break the fibers of the fabric.
- Lay the stockings flat onto absorbent paper towels, and sponge the stained area with a damp cloth.
- Mix some liquid detergent with warm water, and sponge area with the solution.
- Rinse the stained area in cold water, and let it air dry on paper towels.
- If the stain remains, rub a liquid stain remover into the affected area, and repeat steps 3 and 4.
And there you have it - a crayon stain free pair of stockings. You may need to treat the stockings a few times if the stain is particularly stubborn, but with a bit of patience and persistence, you can make your stockings like new again. Happy cleaning!
