Method 1: Soap and Water

For basic crayon stains, try this tried and true method. You'll need warm water and a natural soap like Castile soap or liquid dish detergent. Soak the stained area of the sock in warm soapy water for about 30 minutes, then rinse it out with fresh water. Repeat until the stain disappears.

Method 2: Rubbing Alcohol

If the soap and water trick didn't quite do the job, rubbing alcohol is your next best bet. You will need to use a clean cloth to dab some rubbing alcohol over the stain, and then blot it with a clean cloth until it absorbs stain. Once the cloth is no longer picking up any color, rinse the sock with cold water and repeat the process until the stain is gone.

Method 3: WD-40

WD-40 is a great tool for removing stubborn crayon stains. Spray the stained area of sock and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, take a clean cloth and rub the area until the stain starts to lift. Once the stain has been removed, rinse the sock with cold water.

Method 4: Vinegar and Baking Soda

Vinegar and baking soda are classic ingredients for all sorts of cleaning jobs, and removing crayon stains from socks is no exception! Mix two parts vinegar with one part baking soda and apply the mixture to the stain. Let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse the sock with cold water. Repeat as needed until the stain is gone.

Method 5: Laundry Detergent

If the stain is particularly stubborn, you can try using laundry detergent. Take a damp cloth and apply some detergent to the stained area. Rub the area in a circular motion until the stain starts to lift, then rinse the sock with cold water. Repeat as needed until stain is gone.

Method 6: Nail Polish Remover

Like rubbing alcohol, nail polish remover can be used to get rid of crayon stains from socks. Take a cotton ball and dampen it with some nail polish remover, then dab the stained area until it absorbs the color. Once the stain has lightened or disappeared, rinse the sock with cold water.

Method 7: Hair Spray

Hair spray is another great tool for removing crayon stains from socks. Simply spray the stained area and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, use a damp cloth to rub stain away. Rinse the sock with cold water once stain has been taken care of.

Method 8: Gel Shoe Cleaner

Gel shoe cleaners can also be used to remove crayon stains from socks. Take a damp cloth and apply some gel cleaner to the stained area. Rub the area with the cloth until stain starts to lift, then rinse the sock with cold water. Repeat as necessary until the stain has been removed.
