Carefully scrape away any excess crayon using a dull knife or spoon. Be sure to do this gently so as not to damage the fabric. Once all of the excess crayon has been removed, proceed to the next step.
Mix a small amount of mild detergent in a bowl of warm water. Take a piece of cloth or towel and soak it in the mixture. Gently dab the stained area with the cloth to pre-treat the stain. Allow the solution to sit on fabric for 10-15 minutes.
Using the same mild detergent, machine wash the fabric according to the care instructions. Air-dry the fabric on a flat surface or line dry it. To be extra sure that the stain has been removed, you can iron the fabric.
