What You’ll Need
- Shearling cleaner
- Woolen brush
- Vacuum cleaner
- Dry cleaner’s solvent
- Soft white cloth
Step-by-Step Guide
- Remove as much of the crayon residue as possible. Use a vacuum cleaner to suck up any bits that may remain on the shearling.
- Prepare a cleaning solution. For this, mix one part shearling cleaner and two parts warm water. Dip woolen brush into the solution and lightly scrub the stained area.
- Once you are done scrubbing, blot the area dry using a soft white cloth.
- For more stubborn stains, prepare a paste using equal parts dry cleaner's solvent and warm water. Apply the paste onto the stained area and let it sit for 20 minutes.
- Rinse off the paste with cool water while gently scrubbing with the woolen brush. Blot the area dry with the white cloth.
- Allow the shearling to air dry before using.
