When removing a crayon stain from rosepoint lace, the first step is to blot as much of the stain away as possible. Use an old cloth and press gentle against the fabric. Be careful not to rub the area or you might spread the stain even further.
Mix one tablespoon of mild detergent with one quart of warm water. Soak the stained area for at least 15 minutes and then rinse with cold water. If the stain is still there, move onto the next step.
Dip a cotton swab into white vinegar and gently dab the stained area. Let the vinegar sit for 5 minutes and then rinse with cold water. The stain should be fading by now, but if it's still there, continue onto the next step.
Dip a cotton swab into paint thinner and gently dab the stained area. Let the paint thinner sit for 10 minutes and then rinse with cold water. By now the stain should have disappeared.
Gently blot the area with a dry cloth to remove any excess moisture. And voila! Your rosepoint lace is free of crayon stains and looking good as new.
