Stubborn crayon stains on polyester can be a real bother. But with a little bit of knowledge and know-how, you can easily get rid of them with the following tips.
The first step is to dampen the stain with cold water. Then, let it sit for about 10 minutes. This will help loosen the crayon residue so it's easier to remove.
Once the stain has been soaked, it's time to make a paste. In a small bowl, mix together one tablespoon of liquid laundry detergent and two tablespoons of white vinegar. Stir until the mixture forms a paste.
Now it's time to apply paste to the stain. Using a clean cloth or sponge, work the paste into the stained area. Make sure to rub it in gently and evenly so that the paste covers entire area.
After the paste has been applied, rinse the garment with cold water. Then, put the garment in the washing machine and launder it according to the instructions on the clothing care tag. For extra stain removal power, add a tablespoon of liquid laundry detergent to wash cycle.
Once the garment has been washed, hang it up or place it in the dryer to dry. Be sure to check the stain to make sure it has been removed, and then you're done!
Removing crayon stains from polyester garments doesn't have to be a hassle. With these easy steps and the right products, you can get rid of those pesky stains in no time.
