Things You Will Need:
- White cloth
- Cotton swabs
- Cleaning solution
- Stain remover
Step 1 - Pre-Treat Crayon Stain
Using a white cloth, start by blotting the stain to lift off as much crayon as possible. It’s important to use a white cloth as other colours may transfer to the shirt, making the stain worse.
Step 2 - Apply Cleaning Solution
Once the excess has been removed, spray a cleaning solution onto the stain. A general purpose cleaner will do, or use one specifically made for removing stains.
Step 3 - Use a Stain Remover
After applying the cleaning solution, let it sit for a few minutes. Then, use a cotton swab to apply a stain remover directly to affected area. Rub the stained area gently using circular motions.
Step 4 - Check for Any Remaining Stains
Once you’ve applied the stain remover, let the shirt air dry or use a hairdryer to speed up the process. Once fabric is dry, check to see if there are any remaining stains. If so, repeat steps 2 and 3.
Step 5 - Wash the Shirt
Once all of the stains have been removed, wash shirt in the washing machine on a normal setting, according to the care instructions. After it’s washed, hang it up to dry and enjoy your clean polo shirt!
