The key to getting crayon stains out of clothing is to act quickly. The longer the stain is present, more difficult it will be to remove.
Once you've identified a crayon stain, put the clothing in the freezer for an hour or so. This will help harden up crayon so it's easier to remove.
After freezing, take the garment out and use a butter knife or other dull edge to scrape off any excess crayon that may still be present. Be gentle to avoid damaging the fabric.
Apply a solvent such as rubbing alcohol or WD-40 to the stain. Let it sit for a few moments then wipe off. You may need to do this multiple times to get all the residue out.
Once stain is gone, launder the item as you normally would. Make sure to check the item thoroughly before taking it out so you can re-treat any stains that may remain.
Crayon stains don't have to be a disaster. By following these simple steps, you can easily remove them and get your garment back to looking like new.
