Use a butter knife or the back of a spoon to scrape off as much of the crayon as possible. Be careful not to rub it too hard as this can cause the wax to spread. Once you’ve got most of the crayon off, move onto the next step.
Fill your sink up with cold water, place the panties in it, and add a few drops of laundry detergent. Let them sit in water and detergent for at least 15 minutes. If necessary, you can agitate the water gently using your hands.
Once the panties have been soaking, take them out of the water and use a stain treatment or mild washing liquid directly on spot. Rub area gently with your fingers and then rinse the spot with cold water.
After treating the spot, hold the panties up to the light to ensure that the stain has been removed. If the stain is still visible, repeat steps 2–4.
Put the panties in the washing machine and set cycle for cold water, gentle cycle, and no fabric softener. Wash panties with other similar-colored items.
Hang the panties up to dry in the sun or in a well-ventilated area. Do not put the panties in the dryer as the heat can make the stain set permanently.
With these 6 easy steps, you can easily remove crayon stains from panties. Regularly checking your child's clothing for crayon stains and washing them immediately can prevent the stains from setting. Remember, air drying is best way to keep panties looking their best.
