First things first, you will need some supplies to get your pajamas crayon-free. You will want to have the following: rubbing alcohol, white vinegar, a liquid detergent, a bar of soap, an old toothbrush, a sponge, and a bucket of warm water.
Once you have all the necessary supplies, you can begin pre-treating the crayon-stained area. Start by taking an old toothbrush and dipping it in a mixture of equal parts of rubbing alcohol and white vinegar. Gently scrub the stained area with toothbrush.
Once you have given the stained area a good scrubbing, you can move onto the next step. Take your sponge and add a few drops of liquid detergent to it. Dip sponge into a bucket of warm water and then rub the bar of soap over it. Now you can soak the pajamas in the soapy water for about 20 minutes.
When the soaking process is complete, take the pajamas out of the mixture and rinse them in cold water. Place them in the washing machine and wash with a normal cycle. After the wash is done, dry the pajamas in the dryer. Once everything is done, check to make sure crayon stain is gone.
If you have tried the above steps and the crayon stain is still present, don't fret! There are other remedies you can try. One example is to mix 1 part dish soap with 2 parts hydrogen peroxide. Rub the mixture gently on the stained area and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Afterwards, rinse with cold water and launder as usual.
Getting crayon stains off of pajamas is no easy task, but with this guide, you should be able to do it without too much hassle. Don't forget to try different remedies if the first one doesn't work — you never know what will do trick!
