Remove Crayon with Ice

One of the easiest and most effective ways to remove crayon stains from outdoor furniture is by using ice. Place an ice cube directly on the stain until it becomes hard enough to scrape away. Gently take a plastic scraper or a dull butter knife and scrape away the stain until it's gone. If there are still traces of the crayon remaining, try gently rubbing a bit of dish soap into the area.

Use Rubbing Alcohol

Rubbing alcohol is another great way to remove crayon stains from outdoor furniture. Simply put some rubbing alcohol onto a cloth and lightly dab the stain. Rubbing in a circular motion should help loosen the crayon. You may need to use a bit of soap as well to help lift the stain, but be sure to rinse the area thoroughly to avoid any soap residue remaining on the surface.

WD-40 for Stubborn Stains

For stubborn crayon stains, try using WD-40. Spray a bit of WD-40 onto the area and let it sit for a few minutes. Try to scrape away the crayon as much as possible with a plastic scraper or a dull butter knife. Once the crayon has been removed, rinse area with water to wash away any remaining WD-40.

Prevention Tips

The best way to keep your outdoor furniture looking great is to prevent crayon stains in the first place. Encourage your children to use crayons on paper rather than furniture, and consider using a clear finish on the furniture to make it more resistant to stains.
