Organza is a sheer, lightweight fabric made from silk, nylon, or polyester. While fabric is beautiful and delicate, it can be difficult to clean if it gets stained. Crayon marks are particularly tricky to remove since wax is difficult to dissolve. However, there are a few tricks you can use to clean your organza items like tablecloths or clothing.

How to Remove Crayon Stains from Organza Fabric

  1. The first thing you should do is blot stain as soon as possible with a paper towel or tissue paper. This will help absorb the wax and prevent it from seeping further into the fabric.
  2. Next, prepare a mixture of warm water and a non-bleaching detergent. Place the mixture in a spray bottle and mist stain for about two minutes.
  3. Allow the solution to set on the stain for at least 10 minutes, making sure not to let it dry.
  4. Dampen a cloth with cold water and press it onto the stain to blot it. Do not rub the fabric as it may cause the stain to spread.
  5. Rinse the stained area with cold water to remove detergent. Do not rub the fabric during this step either.
  6. Finally, lay the organza flat on a clean towel. Let it air dry outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Once it has dried completely, steam iron the fabric on a low setting.

By following these steps, you should be able to easily remove crayon stains from your organza fabric. Remember to act quickly to prevent the stain from setting into fabric.
