Crayons are a great source of art supplies for children, but they can also leave behind difficult-to-remove stains on clothes and other surfaces, including Nike shoes. To ensure your Nike shoes look as good as new, follow these steps.

What You'll Need

  • Dishwashing detergent
  • White vinegar
  • Cleaning cloth
  • Non-gel toothpaste
  • Baking soda

Instructions

  1. Gently scrape off any excess crayon with the edge of a spoon.
  2. Mix two tablespoons of dishwashing detergent with two cups of warm water in a bowl.
  3. Soak the cleaning cloth in soapy mixture and lightly scrub area with the crayon stains.
  4. Rinse off the area with cold water to remove the soap residue.
  5. If any stains remain, mix one tablespoon of white vinegar with one cup of warm water and soak another cloth in the mixture.
  6. Lightly scrub the stains with this cloth, then rinse the area with cold water.
  7. If the stains still linger, apply a non-gel toothpaste onto a damp cloth and gently scrub the area.
  8. Rinse the area once more with cold water, then dry the area thoroughly with a clean cloth.
  9. For stubborn stains, mix baking soda with water to make a paste. Apply the paste to the stained areas and scrub it in with a cloth.
  10. Rinse off the paste with cold water and let the shoe air-dry.

By following these steps, you can easily get rid of those unsightly crayon stains from your Nike shoes!
