What You'll Need

  • Vinegar
  • Lemon juice
  • Baking soda
  • Soft cloths/microfiber cloths
  • Mild soap
  • Toothbrush
  • Hydrogen peroxide (optional)

Step 1: Dip Cloth into Vinegar or Lemon Juice

Using a soft cloth or microfiber cloth, dip it into white vinegar or lemon juice. Then, gently blot the area of the stain until it is saturated. Wait for 10-15 minutes before moving to step 2.

Step 2: Scrub with Baking Soda

Make a paste using baking soda and water, and apply it to the stained area. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes before scrubbing with a brush or toothbrush for a few minutes. Wipe off the residue with a damp cloth.

Step 3: Rinse with Clean Water

Rinse the stained area with clean water and a soft cloth. Allow marble to air-dry completely.

Step 4: Wipe with Soap and Water (Optional)

If the stain persists, use a mild soap mixed with warm water and wipe area with a soft cloth. Rinse the area with clean water and let the marble dry.

Step 5: Treat with Hydrogen Peroxide (Optional)

If the stain still remains, treat area with hydrogen peroxide. Mix one part hydrogen peroxide with two parts water and apply to the stained area. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes before rinsing with clean water and letting marble dry.
