What You’ll Need

  • Cold water
  • Laundry detergent
  • White vinegar
  • A damp cloth or sponge
  • A toothbrush (old or new)

Step 1: Blot the Stain

Start by blotting the stain with a damp cloth or sponge. This will help lift up the crayon, making it easier to remove.

Step 2: Apply Detergent

As soon as the stain is blotted, apply a dab of laundry detergent directly onto the mark. Gently rub the detergent into fabric with a toothbrush.

Step 3: Rinse with Cold Water

Once the stain is covered in detergent, rinse the affected area with cold water. This will help move the crayon further away from the fabric fibers.

Step 4: Dab on Vinegar

Next, dab some white vinegar onto the stain using a damp cloth or sponge. Press down firmly with the cloth, making sure to really saturate the mark.

Step 5: Put It in the Wash

After the treatment is complete, it’s time to throw your joggers in the wash. Use the hottest water temperature your joggers allow, along with a regular wash cycle. Be sure to double check that crayon stain is completely gone before putting your joggers in the dryer.

And That’s It!

By following these 5 easy steps, you’ll be able to quickly and easily remove crayon stains from your joggers. Remember, the sooner you treat stain, the better the results will be. Good luck!
