Before you start washing the crayon stain, you'll need to gather the supplies necessary to get the job done. The supplies you'll need include a sponge or towel, detergent, white vinegar, and cold water.
Before placing jeans in washing machine, pre-treat the stain by dabbing lightly at it with a sponge or towel soaked in cold water. Do this until no more of the crayon comes off onto sponge or towel.
After the pre-treatment, apply detergent and white vinegar directly to the stain. Work it into the fabric with your fingers and then let it sit for 15 minutes before moving on to next step.
Soak the jeans in cold water for at least 15 minutes. This will help to loosen the stain before you put them in the washing machine. After soaking, wash the jeans in the machine with cold water and the detergent you used earlier. Finally, dry the jeans in the dryer.
