Crayon stains can be tricky to remove, but there are some household items that can help. Here are steps you should take:

  • Begin by testing any cleaning product on a small area of the item, to make sure that it won’t damage material.
  • Create a mixture of one part Dawn dish soap and three parts warm water.
  • Soak the headband in the soapy mixture for 30 minutes.
  • Scrub the stained area with a soft-bristled brush.
  • Rinse the headband and allow it to air dry.

If you’re still noticing a stain, try this trick: create a paste of baking soda and white vinegar. Spread the mixture in a thin layer over the stain and let it sit for 30 minutes. Use the soft-bristled brush to scrub the area, and rinse the headband with cool water. Then, allow it to air dry.

Caring for sensitive fabric headbands isn’t always easy. Thankfully, by following these simple steps you can get those stubborn stains out. Now you can rest assured knowing your headband looks as good as new.
