Whether you have a canvas, leather, or faux leather handbag, you should first start by testing any cleaning solution on a hidden spot to make sure it doesn't leave a mark. Then, try one of the following methods to remove the crayon stain from your purse:
If you already have an eraser on hand, this is a quick way to take care of the crayon stain. Rub the eraser directly over the affected area until the crayon comes off. There's also the option of using a pencil eraser. Just be sure to use gentle strokes to avoid damaging the material of your purse.
WD-40 makes a great cleaning agent for removing crayon stains. Apply some WD-40 to a clean cloth and rub gently over the stain. You may have to use a bit moreWD-40 depending on severity of the stain. Once you've applied it, wipe the area with a damp cloth.
If you have access to solvent-based cleaners such as rubbing alcohol, nail polish remover, or white vinegar, these are effective solutions for getting rid of crayon stains. Before using any solvent-based cleaner, check care instructions for your purse and test a small amount in an inconspicuous area. Then, apply the solvent directly onto the stain with a cotton swab or clean cloth. Rinse the area with a damp cloth afterwards.
With just a few simple steps, you can go from having a crayon-stained handbag to a purse that looks like new!
