Supplies You Will Need

  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Cotton swabs
  • Borax
  • Cold water
  • Laundry detergent

Step 1: Scraping

Scrape up as much of excess crayon from the fabric with a blunt knife. This will make it easier to get rid of the remaining stain.

Step 2: Rubbing Alcohol Solution

Mix rubbing alcohol with a small amount of cold water. Dip a cotton swab into this solution and gently blot the stain until it disappears.

Step 3: Borax Solution

Mix borax and cold water together until it forms a paste. Apply this paste to stain and let it sit for 30 minutes. Then, rinse with cold water and launder as normal.

Step 4: Laundry Detergent

If any of the stain remains after laundering, apply a small amount of laundry detergent directly onto the spot. Rub gently in a circular motion until the stain lifts away. Rinse with cold water and launder as normal.

Conclusion

Removing crayon stains from gingham fabric isn't too difficult. With right supplies and steps, you can easily get those pesky stains out in no time!
