Seersucker cotton fabric is a favorite for fashion and craft projects. Although this cotton fabric is easy to clean, crayon can be especially hard to remove once it gets stuck. To help you out, here are steps you can take to make sure your seersucker stays as good as new.

Start by treating the stain as soon as possible. Before you do anything, run cold water over the stained area for about 30 seconds. Make sure not to rub the fabric together, just let water penetrate the stain and then lay it out flat.
Next, mix 1 tablespoon liquid detergent or castile soap with 2 cups of cold water. Use a clean cloth to dab solution over the stain. Avoid rubbing the stained area and keep the cloth moving so that soap does not set the stain more into the fabric.
If you find that the crayon stain does not come out after trying the above steps, you can try adding a few drops of white vinegar to the detergent solution. This will help break down the wax in crayon more quickly.
Leave the solution on the fabric for 15-30 minutes and then rinse with cold water. If some of the stain remains, repeat the process until the stain is gone. Once stain has been removed, allow the fabric to air dry.
Finally, you can use an iron to steam any residual crayon stain on the fabric. Place a small towel over the fabric and iron it on medium heat. This should help to remove any remaining stains.
By following these steps, you will be able to keep your seersucker fabric looking great and crayon-free!
