Before you start cleaning stain, make sure that cleaning solution you plan to use is safe for Cotton Poplin fabric. To do so, mix a small amount of the solution with some water in a bowl and apply it on an inconspicuous spot of the fabric. Wait a few minutes and see if the fabric is affected by the solution. If there are no changes to the test spot, the solution is safe to use.
Once you have established that cleaning solution is safe for Cotton Poplin, prepare the stain removal solution. Mix one teaspoon of liquid detergent with one tablespoon of white vinegar and one cup of warm water. Stir the mixture until it is completely blended.
Apply the prepared solution on the stained area and let it sit for about five minutes. Rub the area gently using a soft cloth or a sponge. Once the stain starts to loosen, use a brush to rub it as it fades away.
Rinse area with cold water to remove any remaining cleaning solution. If you still see some of stain left on the fabric, repeat the above steps.
Allow the fabric to air dry or use a dry towel to gently pat it dry.
Crayon stains are now a thing of past. Enjoy your stain-free fabrics for many years to come.
