Step 1: Dab any excess crayon off

Using a clean cloth, gently dab at the crayon stain and remove as much as possible before continuing to the next step.

Step 2: Apply a pre-treatment

Using a liquid detergent, gently lather the crayon stained area of fabric and let sit for five minutes before rinsing.

Step 3: Rinse and lather

Rinse the fabric with cold water and then relather using a powdered laundry detergent. Gently scrub area with an old toothbrush, taking care to not damage the fabric.

Step 4: Wash in the washing machine

Set the washing machine cycle to the gentle cycle with cold water and place the cotton oxford clothing inside. Add in your usual amount of detergent and begin cycle.

Step 5: Check fabric

Once the washing cycle has finished, examine the fabric closely and make sure all the crayon has been removed. If the stain is still present, repeat steps 1-4 until stain is no longer visible.

Step 6: Dry completely

Once the stain is gone, dry the fabric either in dryer or outside.
