Chico's clothing often is made of various fabrics, so it's important to determine what kind of fabric your garment is made of before tackling the crayon stain. Some fabrics, such as silk or wool, may require special care; if unsure, consider consulting a professional dry cleaner.
For washable fabrics, pre-treat stain by applying liquid laundry detergent directly onto the stain. Rub gently with your fingers until the detergent has reached into the fibers. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes before hand-washing the garment in cold water. If the stain persists after washing, repeat this step before putting the garment in the washing machine.
For non-washable fabrics, start by using a clean, white cloth and rubbing alcohol to pre-treat the stain. Rub gently in a circular motion and blot away the excess. Next, use a dampened cloth and mild dish soap to further rub out stain and rinse the area with cold water. Pat dry with a clean, white cloth and allow the area to air dry completely. If the stain remains, consider taking it to a professional dry cleaner.
With some patience and elbow grease, crayon stains on Chico's clothes can be easily removed. Follow the steps above to safely and effectively get rid of any crayon marks!
