Crayon stains can be stubborn but are easily remedied with the right methods. Try these two common cleaning solutions:

Option 1: Use Liquid Laundry Detergent

  • Mix one tablespoon of liquid laundry detergent with two cups of warm water
  • Dip an old toothbrush in the solution and scrub the stain, working it into the fabric.
  • Allow the solution to sit for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly.

Option 2: Rubbing Alcohol and Vinegar

  • Mix equal parts rubbing alcohol and white vinegar.
  • Apply the mixture to the stain with a clean cloth, rubbing gently.
  • Let the solution soak for five minutes, then rinse with cold water.

You may need to repeat either of these methods multiple times until the stain has been removed. After the stain is gone, launder your pants as normal.

Though crayon stains are pesky, the right cleaning solutions will take care of the mess and leave your cargo pants looking great. Try these easy tips and you'll have those crayon stains gone in no time!
