Crayon stains are stubborn, but we've got you covered. Here's the scoop on the best way to restore your business attire and get rid of those crayon marks:

  • Step 1: Place the fabric face down on a paper towel or cloth. Use a second cloth to blot away excess crayon. Make sure not to rub harshly — this will only work the pigment deeper into the fibers.
  • Step 2: Use a cotton swab or toothbrush to loosen any clumps of pigment that may be attached to the fibers.
  • Step 3: Turn the garment inside out and machine-wash it in cold water using a mild detergent.
  • Step 4: Put garment in the dryer and air-dry on a low setting.

If any traces of the stain remain, try spraying the area with a pre-wash soil and stain remover following instructions on the bottle. Let it sit for at least fifteen minutes before washing, and then proceed with Steps 3 and 4.

Crayon stains can also be treated with rubbing alcohol, vinegar, or non-gel toothpaste, depending on the fabric. Always test a small area of the fabric first to make sure cleaning agent you select won't damage it.

With a few simple steps, you can clean those pesky crayon stains and keep your office attire looking sharp. Just follow the tips above and you'll have your business apparel looking brand new in no time.
