Before you get started, make sure you have everything you need. You'll need white vinegar, liquid dish detergent, a clean cloth or old toothbrush, and hydrogen peroxide.
Start by pouring an even layer of white vinegar over stain. Use a cloth or an old toothbrush to gently scrub the stain. This helps loosen the crayon and make it easier to remove.
Next, apply a small amount of liquid dish detergent directly onto the stain. Rub the detergent into the stain to help break it up further. Then use a damp cloth to gently blot stain.
Rinse out stain with warm water by gently blotting it with a cloth, using circular motions. Be sure to rinse away any remaining detergent.
If there are any leftover traces of the crayon stain, use hydrogen peroxide to finish the job. Pour a small amount of the peroxide directly onto the stain and let it sit for five minutes. Then use a clean cloth or old toothbrush to scrub the stain until it disappears.
Once the stain has been removed, it's time to wash garment. Put it in the washing machine with similar colors and use the cold water setting. To get rid of all the vinegar and peroxide, add half a cup of baking soda to the wash. Hang the garment to dry or put it in the dryer on the lowest setting.
Using these simple steps, you can easily remove crayon stains from your Banana Republic clothing and restore them to their former glory. With a little bit of time and patience, you'll have a crayon-free garment in no time!
