Begin by using a vacuum cleaner to remove the excess color and residue from the shoe. To ensure you get all the crayon, run the cleaner over the area several times. This will help minimize the amount of scrubbing you'll have to do later.
Next, create a solution of soap and water. You can use any mild dish detergent or laundry soap. Simply mix it in a bowl with a few tablespoons of warm water. Make sure you get enough solution to cover the affected areas of the shoe.
Once you have the soap solution prepared, you can begin applying it to the stained areas. A soft toothbrush works best for this task as it is less abrasive and less likely to damage the shoe's surface. Then, gently scrub the area with the toothbrush until stain is removed.
After you've scrubbed the soap into the stain, rinse it away with clean, warm water. Don't use too much pressure when rinsing, as this could damage material. Once the soap is rinsed away, allow the shoe to air dry before wearing it again.
