Step 1: Gather the Right Materials

Before you start cleaning, make sure you’ve got everything you need. Here are the items you will need:

  • Lint-free cloths
  • Dish soap
  • Water
  • White vinegar
  • Baking soda

Step 2: Create a Cleaning Solution

Mix together one tablespoon of dish soap with two tablespoons of white vinegar and one cup of warm water. Stir the mixture until it is completely combined.

Step 3: Blot the Stain

Take a damp lint-free cloth and lightly dab at the stained area of the anorak. Do not rub the cloth over the stain as this could cause the stain to spread.

Step 4: Apply the Cleaning Solution

Pour cleaning solution onto the stained area and let it sit for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, use a clean cloth to blot area again.

Step 5: Rinse the Anorak

Wet a clean cloth with cold water and gently blot the stained area. Do not rub cloth over the area as this could cause stain to spread even more. Once the area is damp, let it air dry.

Step 6: Apply Baking Soda

Once area is dry, sprinkle baking soda over the stained area and let it sit for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, use a vacuum cleaner or lint roller to remove the baking soda.

Step 7: Finish

Once the baking soda has been removed, your anorak should be stain-free! If there are still crayon stains visible, repeat steps 3-6 until the stains are completely removed.
