If the crayon stain is still fresh, try using a hairdryer. It may seem counterintuitive, but heat can actually help to soften stubborn wax residue from the fabric. Simply hold the hairdryer about a foot away from the stained area and move it in a circular motion until the stain has been loosened.
An effective way to tackle most crayon stains is to use rubbing alcohol. Start by diluting one part rubbing alcohol with two parts water, then adding a few drops of liquid soap or detergent. You’ll then want to dip a sponge in solution and gently scrub affected area. To finish off, rinse the area with cold water, then use a clean cloth or towel to dab the remaining moisture away.
If the crayon stain is already dry and set in, you can use baking soda and salt to remove it. Start by sprinkling a generous amount of baking soda and salt on the affected area, then add just enough water to form a paste. Use a soft bristled brush or cloth to gently scrub paste in circles over the stain. Once complete, rinse area with cold water and check for any remaining marks.
