Dip a washcloth into the mixture, being sure to wring out any excess detergent. Then, apply the detergent to stained area and let it sit for 10 minutes before rinsing it with cold water.

If the stain is still visible after the detergent treatment, adding baking soda to the mix might help. Make a paste by combining 2 tablespoons of baking soda with 1 tablespoon of warm water. Apply the paste to the stain and let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing it clean with cold water.
