Vinegar is great for removing tea or coffee stains because it is highly acidic and will help break down particles. Start by mixing equal parts of white vinegar and water in a bowl. Soak a white cloth in the solution and then gently dab at the stained area. Be careful not to rub too hard as this could cause further damage. Rinse the clothing with cold water and repeat if necessary.
If vinegar didn't quite do the trick, don't worry- try a combination of dish detergent and baking soda! Mix together one teaspoon of dish detergent and two tablespoons of baking soda. Create a paste and spread it over the stain. Let it sit for five minutes and then rinse the clothing with cold water. Afterward, launder the sundress with regular detergent.
Rubbing alcohol is another household product that can be used to remove coffee and tea stains. Dip a cotton pad into rubbing alcohol and dab it on the stain. Work from the outside of the stain and work your way in. Rinse the clothing with cold water and repeat if necessary. Again, launder the sundress with regular detergent when finished.
OxiClean is a great product for removing stubborn coffee and tea stains. Create a paste with a few teaspoons of OxiClean and add a few tablespoons of water. Spread the paste onto the stain and let it sit for fifteen minutes before rinsing the clothing with cold water. Repeat process if necessary. Again, launder the sundress with regular detergent when done.
